PSITTACUS has established its own breeding facilities and other collaborating centers,, gaining a thorough understanding of the specific needs of each bird and parrot species, and recognizing the importance of providing the most suitable diet for every breed. The PSITTACUS product line is formulated based on research findings, designed specifically to offer optimal nutrition for baby parrots. As a complete avian feed powder, no additional supplementation is required, contains all the necessary nutrients for birds to grow healthily.


-Formulated as an early-age hand-feeding formula, suitable for hand-rearing granivorous psittacine birds during the 2nd phase of the early-age period (from the 5th-8th day of life until the moment pin feathers emerge). It contains a high proportion of dehydrated whole egg and papaya, which favour digestive transit.
-It is advisable to prepare the formula with lukewarm water at a concentration of approximately 25 % solids. It is recommended to administer the formula with a soft feeding tube.
-From the moment pin feathers emerge, it is necessary to switch to a follow-on hand-feeding formula appropriate for the species to be hand-reared.
